Amid the outbreak of Coronavirus, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided that the salaries of the employees providing police, medical and health services of the state will not be cut. The government has decided that all the people associated with these areas will be given their full salary. To reduce the economic burden due to the spread of Coronavirus, the government had earlier decided that the salary of all government employees would be cut by up to 75 percent.

Apart from this, now the Telangana government has also announced to give cash incentive along with salary to the employees giving services to police, medical and health services. It is being told that a meeting has been held with senior officials on this issue. Now the Chief Minister will announce the incentive amount in one or two days.

For your information, let us tell you that the Telangana government had earlier decided that the salary of the Chief Minister of the state, state cabinet, MLC, MLA, state corporation president and representatives of local bodies will be cut by 75 percent. At the same time, it was decided to increase the salary of officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and other central services to 60 percent. It was decided to cut the salary of the class IV, outsourcing and contracted employees by 10 percent. The government says that this will remove some shortage of money to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the state.
