On Saturday, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao will conduct an interim review of the state's economic situation. According to the review meeting, the government is likely to cut out allocations to certain sectors for the current financial year, with the government halting some infrastructure development schemes in education, health, Panchayati Raj, roads and buildings and irrigation departments.

According to the reporting, this was needed due to the slowdown of the economy and the corona epidemic due to a decline in revenue collection. The government feels that the budget expenditure needs to be reduced.

Finance Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao will submit a report on the financial situation from April this year and the corona has had a negative impact on revenue generation. The Chief Minister will convene a meeting of ministers and secretaries of all departments on Sunday based on the estimates presented at the meeting. The government has estimated the expenditure of Rs 1.82 lakh crore in the 2020-2021 Budget Estimates. But the revenue generation has been negatively affected.
