Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Thursday ordered the state government to ensure that those school kids who are unable to attend physical classrooms owing to the Covid-19 outbreak are given access to online classes.

All pupils in public and private schools will have access to the facility. It has been mandated that SAT classes be held until the end of February.

The court further ordered the State Government to ensure that the Covid-19 protocol is followed at the Jeeyar Swamy Trust in Shamshabad, where the unveiling of Samatha Murthy's statue and other rites are taking place.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, West Bengal schools reopened for classes 8-12 with COVID-19 Protocols. Mamata Banerjee, the state chief minister, had declared earlier on Monday that schools for grades 8 to 12 would resume on February 3.

The West Bengal government decided to close schools and other educational establishments, spas, salons, beauty parlours, zoos, and entertainment parks from January 3 due to an increase in COVID-19 cases.
