Hyderabad: A case of rape of a dog has come to light in Telangana's Hyderabad. In the CCTV, a young man is seen raping a dog roaming on the road. The video is said to be from February 5 (Saturday). A complaint has been lodged with the police about the case. Police have registered a case and launched a search for the accused.

According to media reports, the incident took place at Narsimha Basti in Hyderabad. The name of the complainant, in this case, is Prithvi. Prithvi is an animal rights activist. According to Prithvi, 'We had received information that the accused had been doing this heinous act for the past 3 days. He has done this many times. Women, children and senior citizens are also not safe from people who do such acts with animals. 'On the complaint of Prithvi, the Nalakunta police of Hyderabad has registered an FIR. The case has been registered under Section 11(A) of animal cruelty. Police have started searching for the accused on the basis of CCTV footage.'

The incidents of cruelty to dogs have been reported before. On the first of February, a bitch was brutally killed by two men in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The video of the incident went viral on social media. Earlier in March 2021, Ajaz, a resident of Machhipeeth in Gujarat, had brutally hit a dog on the head. The badly injured dog was tied to the bike by Ajaz and dragged too far. In March 2021, Taufiq Ahmed, a 25-year-old man, was caught on CCTV while raping a bitch in Mumbai's Santacruz Kalina.
