Hyderabad: Violence erupted in Bengaluru in the past due to inflammatory social media posts. After that incident, Telangana Director General of Police M. Mahendra Reddy and Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar warned people on Wednesday to post inappropriate content online. In fact, the police chief has said in a statement on Wednesday that people should be cautious while posting any material on social media.
The DGP said, “A malicious social media post has resulted in loss of life and property due to violence in the city of Bangalore (Bengaluru). The public is requested not to post / broadcast any inappropriate content on social media, which is likely to adversely affect public order and peace. Was watching round the clock to broadcast such malicious content in media."
Apart from this, all the SHOs and other senior officers have been instructed by the DGP to register specific cases in each such case. He said, 'I request the public to partner with the police to maintain the highest standards of safety and security in Telangana.' Apart from this, he also tweeted a tweet in which he said, "Last night there was violence in Bengaluru due to such social media posts. We will take very strict legal action for any irresponsible post. We cannot allow our city to take a bad name under any circumstances. ''
