HYDERABAD: The Telangana government on Saturday began the pilot of the Telangana Health Profile project, which aims to create a digital data bank of people's health issues. Over the following 40 days, the famous project's pilot will be implemented in Mulugu and Rajanna Sircilla districts.
T. Harish Rao, the health minister, and other ministers launched the pilot in Mulugu district, where health officials created teams to collect information about people and provide blood samples as part of the Health Profile project's preparation.
The data collecting, according to the health minister, will enable the department in providing better healthcare by issuing digital health cards. In the first phase of the pilot in Mulugu district, the local health authorities established 30 teams within the boundaries of 15 Primary Health Centres (PHCs) to go door to door and gather information about everyone's health and collate the data.
Each team is made up of two ASHA workers and one ANM from each PHC, with one medical officer supervising two teams.
Blood pressure, sugar, urine, and other blood tests will be collected by the teams. If more information is needed in a specific scenario, the person will be taken to the PHC or Telangana Diagnostic Centre for further testing.
