Telangana: BJP President J P Nadda will attend a public assembly in Mahabubnagar on Thursday (May 5), in Telangana, as part of the ongoing 'padayatra' of state unit president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
The BJP is holding the 'Janam Gosa-BJP Bharosa' (people's suffering – BJP's reassurance) rally on Tuesday to put pressure on the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government to fulfil its election promises and rebuild the state according to the aspirations of all sections of society, according to state BJP general secretary G Premender Reddy and other leaders.
After giving prayers at the shrine of Goddess Jogulamba in Alampur, Gadwal district, Sanjay Kumar began the second portion of his 'padayatra' on April 14. They claimed that since the state's establishment eight years ago, the TRS has failed to deliver on its promises of jobs, irrigation, debt relief for farmers, and double bedroom houses for the poor, among other things. They went on to say that Kumar went on his 'padayatra' to fight for the people.
With Nadda's rally, the BJP wants to build traction.
The second phase of Kumar's 'padayatra' is anticipated to culminate on May 14, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to attend a public meeting held to commemorate the event.
