Hyderabad: The Telangana headquarters of Tablighi Jamaat is Mallepalli Markaz. Habib Nagar Police has registered a case under Section 270, 188 and 269 of the IPC along with the Infectious Diseases Act against several people including Jamaat Sadar Mohammad Ikram Ali. According to the charge, 30 to 40 people, including some foreigners, violated the government's orders regarding lockdown and stayed in one place.

Habib Nagar Police sent 11 members, including Jamaat's Sadar (president) Mohammad Ikram Ali, to the government hospital for quarantine early this month. The remaining people were already sent to Quarantine. Of these, 6 people were also found to be corona infected, who are undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital. The entire area around Mallepalli Markaz has now been declared a corona infection zone.

The charges include spreading the act of life-threatening illness without knowing any infection, violating the order given by the public servant, etc. According to the Health Minister of Telangana, 85% of the total corona positive cases in the state have been found to be related to the Nizamuddin Markaz-based Jamaat in Delhi. A total of 531 positive cases had been registered in Telangana till Sunday. 16 people have lost their lives in these. 412 people are still under treatment in the state.
