Hyderabad [India], Jan 4 (NT): The Telangana government announced that the state is all set to host the third edition of International Kite Festival here from January 13-15.

Minister for Tourism and Culture, who is A. Chandu Lal, told ANI, "We have celebrated the new year grandly and we all looking forward to this kite festival. It will coincide with Sankranti, which will be also celebrated grandly by us every year."

The minister also informed that the international kite festival got the go-ahead from the Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and it would be organized in Parade Grounds in Hyderabad.

This International kite carnival is based on theme titled by comes with a social message - "Fly for the cause and educate the girl and she will change the world."

At least eleven countries, along with the states, are likely to take part in the forthcoming event. Over a lakh are likely to mass in the three-day event.

A special night flying event would also be organized in which expert flyers from China, Thailand, Indonesia, Turkey and other countries will exhibit their kite with flying skills. (NT)
