The AIIMS has formed a team of 3 forensic doctors here to conduct a post-mortem of the bodies of the 4 accused of the murder after raping a female animal doctor in the Hyderabad city of Telangana. The team will be headed by Dr. Sudhir Gupta, head of the forensic department of AIIMS. Other members of the team include Dr. Adarsh Kumar and Dr. Abhishek Yadav. This team of AIIMS doctors has left for Hyderabad.

According to media reports, the Telangana High Court has ordered postmortem of the bodies of the 4 accused again. The bodies of the accused have been kept in Gandhi Hospital Morchery. This team of doctors of AIIMS will do a post-mortem of the dead bodies of the accused at 9 am on 23 December in this hospital. This information has been given by the Telangana government. The 4 accused were killed in an alleged encounter on December 6. The Supreme Court had left the issue of passing an order on gathering the necessary evidence from the dead bodies.

On the intervening night of November 27-28, a woman doctor was murdered in Shamshabad, Telangana after the alleged rape. Reports said that the accused had first pulled out the scooty of the doctor and pretended to help her.
