Guntur: In Amaravathi, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement on Friday that the late former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao will be posthumously conferred with the Bharat Ratna, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu expressed pride on behalf of the Telugu community. In a post on his social media platform X, Naidu hailed the decision, stating, "Proud moment for all Telugus across the globe as son of the soil, former Prime Minister Sri PV Narasimha Rao Garu has been honoured with the much-deserving Bharat Ratna."

Naidu lauded Narasimha Rao's multifaceted contributions, describing him as an eminent scholar, leader, economist, writer, statesman, polyglot, and a humanist. He credited Narasimha Rao's leadership and economic reforms for steering India through challenging times, positioning the nation for global recognition.
