In almost every part of India, people have faced severe cold. But now people are going to face the scorching heat very soon. According to the Meteorological Department of India (IMD), the temperature in March-April-May (MAM) will be above average. During this period, more than usual heat waves are expected in North-West, West, Central India and many parts of South India.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of more heatwaves in the core heat wave zone during March, April, and May. Whereas in other places, the temperature is likely to remain normal. There is about a 43 percent probability of staying above the maximum temperature in the core heat wave zone.

The weather forecasting agency has predicted 0.5 degrees Celsius in North-West, West and Central India in the forecast released for MAM season (March to May 2020). In the remaining subdivisions, the temperature is likely to remain close to normal.
