An another goof up at the Oscars has taken the Internet by storm where declared someone dead inspite of them still being alive. Every year, the night pays their respects to those who have passed away over the last 12 months.

But this they showed the picture of a woman who is still alive! The homage was being paid to Australian costume designer who was nominated for four times for Oscar, Janet Patterson but the photo on the screen was not that of Janet but was of Australian film producer, Jan Chapman. "I was devastated by the use of my image in place of my great friend and long-time collaborator, Janet Patterson. I had urged her agency to check any photograph which might be used and understand that they were told the Academy had it covered. Janet was a great beauty and four-time Oscar Nominee and it is very disappointing that the error was not picked up," 

Jan quipped. She added, "I am alive and well and an active producer."
