Hyderabad: In the Pedapalli district situated in Hyderabad an appalling incident happened, authorities of the Ramagundan Municipal Corporation confessed to killing 35 dogs in the past 10 days. The authorities killed the dogs allegedly because they were mad or rabid. The commissioner of the Ramagundam Municipal Corporation, Bonagiri Srinivas said that after receiving complaints of threat in the area, they decided on poisoning the dogs. Sanitation inspector said that they asked the workers to identify the rabid and the mad dogs after which 35 dogs were killed. Allegedly, four labourers were hired to inject the dogs.

However, A worker stated that he was stopped by the residents of a colony after he had killed 15 dogs. When a resident of GM Colony saw a man catching dogs in his lane, he followed him. He was shocked to see 20 dead bodies of dogs in the man's vehicle. Another resident of the same colony accused the municipal corporation of not checking whether the dogs were rabid or mad. He stated that they just identified the big dogs and killed them.

Happy with earning Rs 100 per dog, the labourers along with the authorities coldly executed their idea as they poisoned the strays.
