New Delhi: There is a steady rise in the number of new cases of Corona. For the third consecutive day in the country, more than 20,000 corona cases have been detected. In the last 24 hours, 20 thousand 528 cases of corona have been reported in the country, which is 2.4 per cent more than yesterday. Along with this, 49 people have also lost their lives due to Corona. Earlier, 20,044 cases of the corona were reported on Saturday while 20,038 cases of the corona were reported on Friday.

According to the Health Ministry, the highest number of new cases have been found in Kerala. There are 2,871 confirmed cases. Subsequently, West Bengal reported 2,839 cases, Maharashtra 2,382, Tamil Nadu 2,340 and Karnataka 1,374. In the last 24 hours, 49 corona-infected patients have also died in the country, which has increased the total number of deaths due to corona in the country to 5,25,709. 

On the other hand, the recovery rate of Corona in the country is now 98.47 per cent. A total of 17,790 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. At present, there are 1,43,449 active cases of corona in the country. There has been an increase of 2,689 active cases in the last 24 hours. A new record in the country in terms of corona vaccination is about to be set. It is likely that the total vaccination figure in the country could reach 2 billion doses today itself. With this, India will become the second country in the World to administer more than two billion doses. More vaccine doses from India have been administered only in China.
