In the video, a mob of fanatics is seen uprooting flags and driving away the people sitting in meditation from the stadium. In some other visuals, the food and drink in the stadium is seen lying upside down. The tables are all turned upside down. Loud voices are coming from behind. The incident took place at gallooh stadium. Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih informed on Twitter that the Maldivian police have started investigating the case. The matter is being taken seriously. He has assured that whoever is responsible for this incident will be punished.

According to media reports, some people doing yoga have also accused the crowd who entered the stadium of threatening them. He said the crowd was asking him to vacate the stadium immediately. The event of Yoga and Meditation was organized at the stadium at 6:30 pm on behalf of the Indian Cultural Centre in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Development of India.
