Terrorists attacked BSF, army camps in Kashmir's Barmulla

Baramulla: A search and cordon operation have been launched by the security forces on Monday morning in kashmir’s Baramulla, as last night terrorist attacked neighboring Army and Border Security Force (BSF) camps in the district. In the attack, a BSF personnel has killed and another is seriously injured.

As per the sources, it is believed that there were around three to four terrorists and may have escaped after a powerful two-hour gun battle and the whole region has been cordoned off as security forces were looking for the arsonists. Following the strike, Baramulla highway that leads to Handwara has been sealed.

According to the reports, “the assailants attacked the 46 Rashtriya Rifles camp of the Army and the adjacent BSF camp in main town Baramulla, about 60 km from capital Srinagar, in two groups at about 10.30 pm on Sunday. Heavy firing and loud grenade blasts were heard.”

It was suspected that arsonists who attacked Baramulla on Sunday have entered India across the Jhelum river.
