Srinagar: In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, security forces again had an encounter with a terrorist on Wednesday. In this encounter in Sopore, the security forces killed two terrorists. Both the terrorists were members of the Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist organization. They have also been identified. A civilian was also injured during the encounter and has been admitted to the Srinagar hospital for treatment.

According to the Kashmir Police, the slain terrorists have been identified as Mohammad Rafi and Kesar Ashraf. Rafi is a resident of Sopore. At the same time, Ashraf was a resident of Pulwama. Terrorist Rafi has been booked twice under PSA (Public Safety Act). Both the terrorists have been involved in some terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, this was also told by the Kashmir Police. According to the ADGP, now their targets in Sopore were civilians.

According to the report, this encounter in Sopore started on Wednesday afternoon. The team of Police, Army and CRPF together carried out this operation. The encounter took place on the basis of intelligence inputs about the hiding of terrorists in the area. At present, the search operation is going on in the area.
