Bangkok: Thailand's PM General Prayut Chan-o-Cha was fined 6,000 baht on Monday for not wearing a mask. According to Indian currency, the amount is Rs. 14,270. Tell us that Thailand, like India, is struggling badly with the corona epidemic. It has been mandatory to wear masks in Thailand's capital Bangkok since Monday.

The decision was taken because 2,048 new corona cases were registered in Thailand on Monday and 8 people died. This was the fourth consecutive day when more than two thousand new cases were reported in a day. After which the strictness has now started in Thailand. According to a Bangkok Post report, PM General Prut had convened a meeting on the vaccine and was sitting without a mask at the meeting. That's why fine has been charged. In Thailand, a fine of up to 20,000 baht (Rs. 47,610) is being collected from those who do not wear masks.

Bangkok Governor Aswin Quanmuang had reported on Facebook that he had lodged a police complaint against the PM for not wearing a mask. The police then took action and collected a fine of 6,000 baht from the PM. Meanwhile, Thailand has banned tours from India. However, if India has Thailand passengers, they can return to their home country. Thailand has so far registered 57,508 corona cases and 148 deaths.
