New Delhi: Senior Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor on Thursday made it clear that everything he tweets is his "personal opinion." The statement came a day after he made a statement on behalf of Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra for his remarks about mother Kali. For this, Tharoor was attacked by his own party.
After which, Congress leader Tharoor took to Twitter to give clarification and said it was his personal opinion. In his tweet, Tharoor wrote, "Two things: 1. Everything I tweet is my personal opinion. I don't have any other type. Those who stand up for nothing fall for anything- Alexander Hamilton.'' Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Wednesday said he was surprised by the attack on TMC MP Mahua Moitra on her remarks on mother Kali.
At the same time, Tharoor had also requested people to be less serious and leave it to the individual to conduct the religion personally. In his tweet, Tharoor wrote, "I am not unaware of the maliciously fabricated controversy, but I am shocked by the attack on Mahua Moitra for saying what every Hindu knows. What the devotees offer as prasad tells about them (the devotees) more than the goddess.''
