Muzaffarpur: A man accused of molestation in Bihar's Muzaffarpur consumed poison in the court premises. The man had asked his lawyer to call the girl and record her statement. When the advocate said that the girl would not come, the man, enraged, consumed poison. There was a commotion on the spot after the incident. The lawyers present in the court rushed the man to the hospital.

The person has been identified as Sawan Kumar's son Dilip Rai, a resident of Jagdishpur Babhnagari village under the Sakra police station area. The case pertains to the court premises of the Nagar police station area. The man, Sawan Kumar, had come to appear before the Muzaffarpur court. He is being tried under the POCSO Act. After appearing before the court, the man met his advocate Dinesh Kumar Pathak.

The man insisted on the advocate to call the young girl in the court soon and get her to testify. On this, the advocate said that the court has its own job. He decides the date according to himself. Then, the advocate said that the girl will not come to the court today. There will be a debate on the next date. Saying this, the advocate went to his chamber. The criminal man, Sawan, got angry and consumed poison and approached the advocate. He told the advocate that if the girl did not come today, I would die in 15 to 20 minutes. Then, he fell. Advocate Dinesh Kumar Pathak and his aides rushed the man to Sadar Hospital. From there, after first aid, the doctor referred to SKMCH.
