New Delhi: From January 2023, Tata Motors plans to raise the Tiago EV's price in India by as much as 4%. The hatchback debuted on our soil in September of this year and has since received over 20,000 reservations. The EV is the most affordable all-electric model offered by the domestic brand and is available with two different powertrain options.
With an 87% market share, Tata Motors is one of India's biggest manufacturers of electric vehicles. The automaker offers a model in the hatchback, sedan, and SUV categories and was one of the pioneers in introducing mass-market Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) to our shores. Although the Tiago EV has historically been one of the best-selling models, the price increase may hurt sales.
Similar to the ICE-powered version, the Tata Tiago EV has a clamshell bonnet, swept-back projector headlamps, a modern grille with blue accents, a wide air dam, and fog lamps mounted on the bumper.

ORVMs, flared wheel arches, and 14-inch "Hyperstyle" wheels frame the sides of the hatchback. There are options for wrap-around taillamps and a roof-mounted spoiler at the back.
A 61hp/110Nm or a 74hp/114Nm electric motor is connected to a 19.2kWh battery pack or a 24kWh battery pack, respectively, to power the Tiago EV. A driving range of up to 250 km and 315 km is promised by the two combinations.

The EV comes equipped with an Android Auto and Apple CarPlay-compatible 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
A rear-view camera and dual airbags are used to protect passengers.
