New Delhi: The C3 Aircross SUV from Citroen was unveiled, and it will likely be introduced in India later this year. Around Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom) will be the starting price. The car's stylish exterior, roomy interior, and potent 1.2-liter liquid-cooled turbo-petrol engine are some of its highlights. What are the benefits and drawbacks of the three-row C3 Aircross, then? Let's look at it.

The Citroen C3 Aircross has 17-inch alloy wheels, bumper-mounted headlamps with split-type DRLs, roof rails, and a chromed grille with the "Double Chevron" logo.
It comes with a five- or seven-seater cabin, a 10.0-inch infotainment console, a digital instrument cluster, and numerous airbags. A 1.2-liter, liquid-cooled, turbocharged petrol engine with 108.4 hp and 190 nm powers the vehicle. An automatic 6-speed gearbox is connected to the motor.

In comparison to the Hyundai CRETA and Kia Seltos, which it competes with, the C3 Aircross has a longer wheelbase (2,671mm). This results in a cabin that is larger. Additionally, it has a 200mm ground clearance, which is higher than that of Seltos and CRETA (both of which have a 190mm clearance). The C3 Aircross offers a massive 511 litre boot with the third-row seats folded down.

The C3 Aircross has halogen headlights rather than its competitors' LED ones. LED lighting is much more vibrant. Keyless entry and a push start/stop button are also absent from the vehicle. There is only a key fob included. Auto climate control is also omitted in the C3 Aircross. For the front and back rows, manual air conditioning is the only option.

The C3 Aircross SUV from Citroen is devoid of connected car features, wireless charging, and a sunroof. When it comes to passenger safety, the company has also taken short cuts. Unlike the CRETA and Seltos, which both have six airbags, the C3 Aircross only has two. The vehicle has drum brakes on the back but disc brakes up front.

One 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox powers the C3 Aircross. There is no automatic gearbox. The SUV falls short of competitors in its segment who offer diesel/CNG engines and hybrid powertrains.
