New Delhi: Sarfaraz Khan's exclusion from the Indian team has been attributed to fitness and conduct problems, although sources in Mumbai Cricket insist that these allegations are unfounded. A portion of the BCCI (Indian Cricket Board) is of the opinion that Sarfaraz has to get fitter and exercise a little bit more restraint both on and off the pitch.

However, people associated Mumbai cricket defended the middle-order batsman. When Sarfaraz scored a century against Delhi in the previous season, he forcefully pointed his finger in the direction of the locker room as he did so. His behaviour was not regarded well. Sarfaraz's behaviour was interpreted as sarcasm directed at one of the selectors who was in the stadium at the moment.

On Monday, a source close to the cricketer claimed, "Sarfaraz's celebration during the Ranji match in Delhi was for his teammates and coach Amol Majumdar." Majumdar removed his headgear to show his appreciation for Sarfaraz's century and the celebration. Salil Ankola, not Chetan Sharma, was the stadium's selector at the time. The party was held in honour of Sarfaraz since he saved the squad from dangerous situations. Is it improper to publicly celebrate, especially when you are gesturing towards your dressing room, the source questioned.

It is also claimed that Chandrakant Pandit, the former Madhya Pradesh coach, was not pleased with Sarfaraz's attitude last year. However, the insider claimed that Pandit has always shown her love. "Chandu sir treats him like a son," the insider claimed. Since he was 14 years old, he has known Sarfaraz. He is continually extolling Sarfaraz. Sarfaraz will never make him angry.

However, Sarfaraz's friends and family are curious as to why he hasn't been included in the Indian team despite amassing a huge number of runs. The Indian team's yo-yo test fitness standard was 16.5 and they met it. He has occasionally batted for two days and then played fielding for two days, which speaks to his cricket fitness.
