Noted comedy comedian Kiku Sharda is no stranger today. He had collected a lot of appreciation from comedy nights with Kapil Show in the country and the world. Kiku, who made people laugh a lot on the basis of his comedy, has once been jailed. He was given the punishment for making fun of Dera Sachcha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.

In fact, Kiku was accused of hurting the sentiments of Ram Rahim's followers, after which he was taken into custody. He was remanded to judicial remand of 14 days by the court, but later he was released. Kiku was taken into custody by Haryana police in Mumbai at that time. The action was taken against them under Section 295-A of the IPC.

Police had said that a complaint was lodged against Kiku by a follower of Dera Sachcha Sauda named Uday Singh. Then, the police took action. Kiku was accused of making fun of the Dera Sachcha Sauda chief over the MSG-2 movie due to the comedy show. In a media interaction about the arrest, Kiku had apologized saying that he had done it in the direction of the active channel and the speech of the producer of the programme.
