Today is the birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule, who dedicated her entire life to women's rights. She was born on January 03, 1831, in Naigaon village in the Satara district of Maharashtra. Savitribai Phule was the first principal of India's first girls' school and the founder of the first Kisan School.

In 1848, she established the country's first girls' school in Pune, Maharashtra, to make women well-educated. This school is in Pune, but the condition of this historical heritage is very bad. Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and his wife Savitribai Phule started a women's school in Bhidewada in old Pune city 175 years ago, but this school has been closed for years and its condition seems that this building will collapse at any moment.

Before independence, when only a select few women could study, in that era, they set up schools for the purpose of empowering the women of poor sections by teaching. There was also a demand to make this school a national monument. But today, the condition of which is pathetic.
