The coach of Deep Das Gupta was a woman, but she gave many cricketers like her to the country. Sunita Sharma is India's first female cricket coach. She prepared first-class and international cricketers. In 2005, Sunita was awarded the Dronacharya Award for outstanding work in the field of cricket. This guru gave many world-class cricketers to the country, but her dream was to become a world-class cricketer. She was also selected in Team India against Australia, but according to her, despite being in Pling XI, she was dropped on the morning of the match.

After this, Sunita's mother got her admitted to the cricket coaching program. In 1976 she became the first woman to receive a coaching diploma from the National Institute in Patiala. According to Sunita, initially, people were reluctant to send their children, because they liked male coaches, but after a year people came to know that they are equally capable than their male colleagues. Sunita was interested in Kho Kho since childhood and has played in Kho Kho to the national level, but at the behest of the family, she later changed her game. Her mother once saw that she was spending a lot of time in Kho Kho; It is neither a national game nor an international game. That's why prepare yourself in cricket because it is a very popular sport. Sunita took her mother's advice seriously and started focusing on cricket. Soon she came into the eyes of the selectors in the form of a medium pacer. However, her career as a player did not last long.

It was not easy for Sunita to teach male players the skills of cricket as a female coach. She also faced discrimination, but soon everyone understood that she had the ability to reach here. Sunita played both the mother and the master. Played When the mother of two came into the role of a master, she spent five hours with her students on the field batting, bowling and fielding. But once she came home, she would become a housewife and take care of household chores and children.

Deep Das Gupta started taking cricket training at the age of 7. Although his parents wanted a male coach for his son, the young Deep Das insisted that he take training from 'aunt'. In fact, Sunita was a caring woman for children, who taught him the basics of cricket. Sunita came into the limelight when Deep Das Gupta scored a century against England in Mohali and gave him Guru Dakshina. This veteran coach has also trained players like Shashi Gupta, Anju Jain, Anjum Chopra. Between 1975 and 1990, she organized coaching camps for international women cricketers like Shanta Rangaswamy, Diana Edulji, Sandhya Aggarwal.
