Kanker: A shocking incident has come to light from Kanker city of Chhattisgarh, where an incident of inhuman act on innocent girls has been reported in an adoption center present in Shivnagar. According to a report received, the female program manager of the adoption center brutally beat up 2 innocent girls. A CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced. This video is now going viral. Officials said that this adoption center is run by an NGO. Now the District Collector has instructed the police to register a case. Also, the NGO has been suspended from operating this center.
It should be noted that adoption centers provide for the care and sustenance of innocent children. But after the brutality of the woman worker in this center came to light, the district administration and the Women and Child Development Department have suspended the registration of the concerned NGO. Not only this, the district administration has also directed the local police to register a case against the woman seen in the viral video. On Monday, the police arrested the culprit woman. The matter is under investigation. Divya Umesh Mishra, director of the Women and Child Development Department, said, "Seema Dwivedi, superintendent of the adoption center run by Pratigya Vikas Sanstha, was seen beating up orphaned girls in a CCTV video."

In the video, Seema Dwivedi is seen beating a girl and holding her by the hair and throwing her on the floor. The district administration had submitted a complaint of beating innocent girls in the facilitation center. The allegations have been found to be true in the inspection. Children were being brutalised at the centre. "Considering the seriousness of the matter, we have requested the police to register a case against Seema Dwivedi under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and suspend the NGO from its operations with immediate effect." According to the inspection report, Seema Dwivedi has admitted that the video clip is from the same centre. The incident took place about a year ago. In her statement, Seema Dwivedi said she beat up two girls at the facility as their mental condition was not good then.
