Jaipur: On Friday,  The Dayodaya Express, a superfast train between Jabalpur and Ajmer, derailed near Jaipur. As per a North Western Railway spokesperson, the engine of the Dayodaya Express overturned and the immediate coach after it derailed near Sanganer railway station, 15 km south of Jaipur.

The spokesperson  informed that The incident took place at around 1 pm.  The driver of the train was left injured in the accident. There was no immediate report of injury to any passenger.

"The incident occurred near the station when it was running towards Jaipur junction from Ajmer," said Sanganer police station in-charge Lakhan Khatana.

A rescue team has rushed to the spot. The railway spokesperson said that the reason of the derailment would be clear after a proper probe.

The Dayodaya Express runs between Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur and Rajasthan's Ajmer.
