Lindsey Shaw played Jennifer "Moze" Moseley in Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. Those of you who were teenagers or were in their late teens or early twenties in the early 2000s will undoubtedly be familiar with her. But there's no denying that one of the most popular young-adult series in recent years Pretty Little Liars is to blame for her undeniable rise to fame.
Paige and Emily's romance, like most of the romances on the show, received a lot of attention despite playing a supporting role as one of the leads' love interests. Shaw made a few minor appearances at first but gradually rose in prominence. Paige, however, abruptly vanished from both Shay Mitchel's character's life and from the series
The actress who was fired from Pretty Little Liars, Lindsey Shaw, discussed the situation on the July 5 episode of Ned's Declassified Podcast Survival Guide. “I got basically let go from Pretty Little Liars in Season 5,” she admitted. “…Because of the weight I had lost and it was really an embarrassing thing. I didn’t look good too skinny and then when I started to put the weight back on, I couldn’t handle being too heavy.”
Later, Lindsey started crying as she remembered how miserable it had been to be fired from the popular drama series. "It was awful. I. Marlene King, the creator of Pretty Little Liars, called me into her office. And she simply said, ‘So we’re gonna let you go,'” Lindsey said. “She was like, ‘It’s not because of your acting, but do you have anybody to talk to?’ And I was like, ‘No,’ you know?” The Ned’s Declassified alum then revealed that the creator told her to “find somebody” but then proceeded to fire her.
Lindsey admitted in the open interview that she struggled with drug use and eating disorders while she was a member of PLL. “When I had my drug problem and I was in between working on stuff, I would never have to address my relationship with food because it was like, I could always just go get more Adderall", she feigned. The stunning brunette then described her relationship with food and her body as a "dumb cycle" that had a negative impact on her. Lindsey expressed her appreciation to the writers for bringing her character back in Season 7 despite being fired.
The character played by Mitchell had a number of women in his life, but in the series finale, he settles down with Alison Delaurentis, who is portrayed by Sasha Pieterse. In actuality, Alison is the one who ignited the entire Pretty Little Liars controversy when she abruptly vanished one evening while the friends were all together.
Alison and Emily are no longer together in Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, one of the many spinoffs the series had. This was one of the major criticisms that the new story received after fans arduously fought for them to end up together in the first place.
