New Delhi: ISRO's Aditya is going to reach its L1 point around 4 pm on January 6, 2024. A few days ago ISRO Chief S. Somanath had said that this work is going to be done on January 6. But he did not give any time for which. ISRO Chief had said that he cannot tell the time, but Aditya will reach L1 point on 6th. ISRO had sent Aditya Solar Observatory to study the Sun. It will reach L1 point three days later on January 6, 2024. Somnath has said that Aditya is going to be inserted in L-1 point on 6th. The first evidence of the success of Aditya-L1 mission was received only a few days ago.

Why will January 1, 2024 be special for ISRO?: News: News says that the Solar Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (SUIT) of this satellite had also taken full disk photos of the Sun for the first time. All these photos were of 200 to 400 nanometer wavelength. That means you are going to see the sun in 11 different colors. This payload was launched on 20 November 2023. This telescope has taken photos of the sun's photosphere and chromosphere.

What are photosphere and chromosphere?: Let us tell you that photosphere means the surface of the sun and chromosphere means the thin layer present between the surface of the sun and the outer atmospheric core. The chromosphere extends up to 2000 km above the surface of the Sun. The previous photo of the sun was taken on 6 December 2023. But that was the first light science photo. But this time full disk photos have been taken. That is, the part of the sun which is completely in front, its surface. With the help of these photographs, scientists can study the Sun properly.

What is Lagrange Point?: Lagrange Point. That means L. This name has been named after the mathematician Joseph-Louis Larange. He was the one who discovered these Lorenz points. When there is a point of gravity between any two rotating space objects, where neither the gravity of the two planets or stars has any effect on any object or satellite.

According to the information received so far, in the case of Aditya-L1, it is going to be saved from the gravitational power of both the Earth and the Sun. After the launch, Aditya is going to revolve around the earth for 16 days. During this period the orbit is going to be changed 5 times. So that we get the right speed. Then Aditya may have a trans-Larangian 1 insertion. A long journey of 109 days will start from here. As soon as Aditya-L1 reaches, it will perform an orbit maneuver there. So that it can revolve around the L1 point.

What is Aditya-L1?: Let us tell you that Aditya-L1 is India's first space based observatory. It is going to be deployed so far away from the sun that it gets heated but does not get damaged. Because the temperature of the photosphere, slightly above the surface of the Sun, is approximately 5500 degrees Celsius. Not only this, the temperature of the center remains at 1.50 crore degrees Celsius. In such a situation, it is not considered possible for any vehicle or spacecraft to go there.

What will Aditya-L1 spacecraft do?

- Reasons for occurrence of solar storms, solar waves and what effect they have on the Earth's atmosphere.
- Aditya will study the heat and hot winds emanating from the sun's corona.
- Will study the distribution and temperature of solar winds.
- Will try to understand the solar atmosphere.

Why study the Sun… Why is this mission important?

- The sun is our star. It is from that that our solar system gets energy.
- Its age is said to be approximately 450 crore years. Life is not possible on earth without solar energy.
- All the planets in this solar system are stable because of the gravity of the Sun.
Nuclear fusion can also be seen in the center of the sun i.e. the core. That is why the sun appears to be spewing fire all around.
- Study of the Sun so that due to it the understanding of other planets of the solar system can also increase.
Due to the sun, there is a continuous flow of radiation, heat, magnetic fields and charged particles on the earth. This flow is called solar wind. They are made of high energy protons.
- Solar magnetic field is detected. Which is very explosive.
There is a possibility of many types of damage to the Earth due to solar storm caused by Coronal Mass Ejection (CME). Therefore it is important to know the weather of space. This weather develops and worsens due to the sun.
