New Delhi:  The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2022 to be played in Australia. Left-arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh, who was badly trolled in the Asia Cup, has got a place in this team, while Jaspreet Bumrah and Harshal Patel returned to Team India. Arshdeep's family has expressed happiness over being selected for India's 15-member team in this fierce fight starting on October 16 and now they are looking to see him win the World Cup.

In this connection, Star Sports India has shared a video on the indigenous social media platform KOO app in which Arshdeep's parents are proud and want to see him win the T20 World Cup after the Under-19 World Cup. The channel captioned the video, "A moment of pride that made us go! #BelieveInBlue with #Arshdeepsingh’s parents for #MissionMelbourne and celebrate his selection for #TeamIndia in the ICC #T20WorldCup 2022!"

Arshdeep's mother says that when the news of his son's selection to the Indian team came out, she is engaged in praying at that time. She says, "It seems as if her prayer has been accepted. Considered a death-over specialist, Arshdeep made his way into the Indian team by displaying exceptional skills in the IPL earlier this year and has continued to impress everyone with his performances.''

Reports say that along with Arshdeep, 5 fast bowlers have also been selected for the T20 World Cup. Apart from Arshdeep Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya are also included in the team. In this World Cup, India is going to play its first match against Pakistan on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
