Due to the FIFA Football World Cup running in Russia, the sales of TVs in the country have caught the pace. To watch a live broadcast of the FIFA World Cup, a large number of football fans are buying new TV sets or selling their old TVs to buy a new big-screen TV set. This has led to the sale of TV sets of Sony, LG, Samsung, Micromax and Intex in the country.

To entice football lovers, TV companies have come up with a new big screen TV set. At the same time, they are also offering attractive plans for financing. Under their marketing strategy, companies are investing in the 360-degree soccer season in June-July. It includes advertising through TV, print or digital forums, expanding of shops etc.

LG Electronics India's head of business Rishi Tandon said that there has been a significant increase in sales in Kerala, Goa, West Bengal and other metropolitan cities like Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, and Mumbai. In some markets, sales have doubled compared to last year.

Micromax co-founder Rajesh Agarwal said that compared to last year our sales have increased by 15 percent during the last two months. The FIFA World Cup has started. By the end of June, we are expecting a 25 percent increase in our sales. Director of Intex Technologies, Nidhi Markady said that this year, football fever is visible in cities across the country.

Firstly it is limited to regions like Eastern, Northeast, Goa, Kerala and Maharashtra. In the LED TV segment, our sales increased 10-15 percent compared to the normal. Companies like Sony are also hoping to double their sales this year in Kerala, West Bengal, Goa and the North-East, compared to last year. Sony India's head (Bravia TV) Sachin Rai said that for the football season, the company has introduced the new Bravia Olead A8F.

This will give people a new experience to watch TV. Rai said that in order to run multi-level football session under its marketing strategy, Sony plans to invest Rs 8 crores during June-July. Samsung is also expecting 10-15 percent increase in its sales during the football season compared to other months.
