Thanks to a 5-0 clean sweep in England's ODI series against Australia, its cricketers Johnny Bairstow, Jos Buttler and Jason Roy have been benefited from the latest ODI rankings issued on Monday by the ICC, while the Indian captain Virat Kohli remains on top of the batting mainstay in ODIs.

In the ODI batting rankings, Virat remains on top with his 909 rating points while Shikhar Dhawan has moved from 11th to 10th position with one place advantage and has joined the top 10. Rohit Sharma retained his fourth position. On the other hand, fast bowlers Jaspreet Bumrah, who is one of the fastest ODI bowlers, are on top. Yuzvendra Chahal has also benefited from one place and now he has joined Adil Rashid of England in the eighth position.

England and Wales will host the ICC ODI World Cup held in the year 2019 from 30th May to 14th July, the players of the former English team got a major boost in the rankings. Bairstow, Butler, and Jason have had the advantage in ODI batting rankings. Bairstow has risen four places to number 11. He scored more than 300 runs in the series

Butler has moved up two places to 16th and Jason has reached number 20 with the advantage of three positions. Alex Hales and captain Eoin Morgan reached one place with 22nd and 24th respectively. Travis Head of Australia has also moved up three places to 19th position.

Meanwhile, the Australian team has slipped to number six in the ICC ODI Team Rankings and has lost four points. England has benefited from a clean sweep and it has gained three points and strengthened with 126 points in the first place, while India is second with 122 points. There is a three-match ODI series between India and England between July 12 and 17. If England loses to India 2-1, then they will remain in their top position, but if India wins the team will be on top.
