Advance Booking Box Office: The Flash ready to take a good start in India

The Flash, a DC superhero movie, has a respectable advance booking in India, selling about 50,000 tickets across the three national chains of PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis, for a revenue of Rs. 1.25 crore. Given the reputation of Flash in India, the film's opening weekend box office performance will be strong enough to provide it a platform to succeed. The movie has had strong sales in the IMAX edition, but only mediocre ones elsewhere.

Given the developments, it appears like The Flash will debut in India with a gross of between Rs 4.50 and 5.50 crore. Adipurush's Friday release will have an impact on business throughout the weekend, but it will have enough screens and exposure to gross Rs 20 crore in its first weekend. The Flash is essentially a family narrative with a superhero backdrop, and the positive reviews from around the world indicate that movie will likely perform well at the box office over the long term if Indian audiences react similarly to those in the West.

In India, The Flash would follow Antman, John Wick, Guardians of the Galaxy, Fast X, and Spiderman: Across The Spiderverse as the fifth successful Hollywood movie of the year. In terms of weekend sales, from Friday to Sunday, The Flash has sold approximately 36,000 tickets in the three major national chains.

The Flash has overall sold 86,000 advance tickets at the three chains for the extended opening weekend, which suggests some kind of hype among Indian fans of superheroes. Regrettably, the sales are mainly centred on the national chains. Outside of major cities, the movie isn't generating much curiosity, and Adipurush's release on Friday will make it much less likely that it will do well there.
