Raipur: Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel has said that before Diwali, farmers, landless agricultural labourers and cow dung vendors will be paid an amount of more than Rs 180 crore. CM Baghel has given this news while transferring an amount of Rs 8.13 crore online to the accounts of the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojana at his residence office today.

CM Bhupesh Baghel informed that on October 17, along with the third instalment of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the amount of Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhumihin Krishi Majdur Nyay Yojana and Godhan Nyay Yojana will be paid to the farmers. He said that Diwali is a big festival for all of us. With the receipt of money before Diwali, we will all celebrate Diwali with great pomp. Out of this amount, Chief Minister Baghel has given an amount of Rs 5.34 crore to cattle dung sellers, and villagers. A dividend amount of Rs 1.69 crore has been distributed to Gauthan committees and Rs 1.11 crore to women self-help groups. So far, Rs 170.34 crore has been paid in lieu of purchase of cow dung including the amount paid to cow dung vendors today.

At the function, Bhupesh Baghel appealed to the farmers to donate and said that the harvesting of paddy is about to start. Farmers should not burn para, or donate paradan for cattle fodder in Gauthans. Due to the arrangement of fodder for the animals, they will not go to the field. This will save their crop along with the Kharif crop. He has directed the officers of the Agriculture Department to make arrangements for the seeds of their crops, mustard, linseed etc. CM Baghel said that the purchase of paddy on support price from farmers in the state would be started from November 1. Officers have been instructed to make all necessary arrangements at the paddy procurement centers so that farmers do not face any inconvenience in selling paddy.
