Patna: Two lakh government jobs will be given to the youth of Bihar in the coming months. On Friday, CM Nitish Kumar said these things under the recruitment drive. He said that the existing employees would also get proper raises and other benefits. Addressing party workers on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti at the Janata Dal United JD (U) headquarters in Patna, Nitish said, 'We, a coalition of seven parties, have decided to give government jobs to the youth of the state. By the end of this year, a large number of youth will get government jobs in the state.
He said, 'Recruitment for government jobs will be started in the coming months. We are going to provide two lakh government jobs in the coming months. Attacking the BJP, the CM said, 'Opposition members are spreading lies about the new rules recently approved by the government for the appointment of government teachers. The state government has approved new rules for the appointment of government teachers from primary to higher secondary levels in the state. This will benefit everyone, both those who are already working and the new recruits.

Now the state government will constitute a separate commission for the recruitment of government school teachers. Recently, the cabinet approved the Bihar State School Teachers (Appointment, Transfer, Disciplinary Proceedings, and Service Conditions) Rules, 2023. A senior official of the state education department had said that teachers appointed on a contract basis can become regular government teachers after passing the entrance tests conducted by the commission.
