HYDERABAD: The 75-year-old Bandipaili Rajma of Lakshminarayanapuram village in Palakurti zone of Jangaon is the only disabled person in the family. It is learned that the miserable situation in Rajma’s life was that Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan was invited to dinner at Raj Bhavan. In addition, he directed the district branch of the Indian Red Cross Society and the local administration to take care of them.

Rajpal provided the basic necessities for 3 months to Rajamma with a financial assistance of Rs 50,000.The old lady was very happy. In addition, the 2014 batch inspector working in Palkurti was lauded for raising Rs 1.2 lakh to build a house for an elderly woman.

The governor was particularly distressed to learn that the elderly woman's granddaughter had died due to snake bites and the unavailability of timely anti-venom injection or other necessary medical care. The governor called for the provision of medical facilities, anti-venom injections, medical kits and trained personnel at all rural centers to prevent unfortunate deaths due to snake bites or other problems. He said that the medical facilities and care required for the rural areas of the economically and socially backward communities should not be denied. The governor directed the local authorities to ensure that no poor people were harmed for medical assistance or other needs.
