New Delhi: Recently, an active member of the Popular Front of India (PFI) threatened to bomb the offices of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) located in six cities of the country including Lucknow, Unnao. Interrogation of the accused arrested from Tamil Nadu has revealed to the UP ATS that the person who threatened, Raj Mohammed, is an active member of the PFI first and now the SDPI. Raj Mohammed, who was arrested from Pudukottai area of Tamil Nadu on June 7, is an active member of the PFI and then the SDPI between 2018 and 2021.
Raj Mohammed had threatened to bomb rss offices located at two places in Uttar Pradesh and four in Karnataka. Following an FIR lodged at The Aliganj police station in Lucknow, the UP ATS had arrested Raj Mohammed from Tamil Nadu. The UP ATS had questioned Raj Mohammad during his 7-day police custody remand. During the same interrogation, it was revealed that Raj Mohammed has been a hardcore member of the PFI.
Raj Mohammed has been working for SDPI for the past few years. When the UP ATS asked Raj Mohammad about the activities from 2021 to now, Raj Mohammad remained silent on his activity since 2021. According to sources, Raj Mohammad was in touch with several senior leaders of the PFI. Raj Mohammad's mobile was sent to a forensic lab. When the data extraction was done, it was found that the first message threatening to blow up the RSS office was written through voice recording in Tamil, after which the message was translated into Hindi and English and sent to the sangh people on WhatsApp.
At present, after 7 days of interrogation, Raj Mohammed has been sent to jail by the ATS. The information received in the interrogation is now being matched by THE UP ATS with its database. Also, raj mohammad's mail id and social media account details have been sought.
