The most beautiful people are the ones who have known defeat, known struggle, known suffering, known loss and have still found out their way out of those depths. Raghu Bhatia is one such person. Being a man of many talents, he couldn’t just stick to only one job, so he took up various professions like acting, singing, producing and mastered them all. From a very young age of 7 years; an age when children were still busy selecting their favorite candy and buying their favorite toys; Raghu was dreaming about entering the Bollywood industry. He used to participate in a lot of theatre-based dramas and competitions to enhance his learning in the field. Although his family was initially not in favor of him becoming an actor later they also encouraged him in pursuing his dreams which helped him to climb the steps to the summit of success.
At an age of 19, Raghu Bhatia left his home in Delhi and moved to Mumbai to become the man that he had always aspired to be. On the advice of his father, he changed his name to Raghuraja Bhatia in the hopes that it might bring him good luck. Life has never been easy for him but he proved that once a person grasps the essence of struggle then no one can stop miracles from happening. After 3 months of constant auditioning for various projects, Raghu Bhatia bagged his role in a youth show, Suvreen Guggal- Topper of The Year, where he was casted along with Shivin Narang, Smriti Kalra, Akshay Anand, and Mohit Malik. The show gained immense popularity among the youth and proved to be a turning point in Raghu’s career. The show is still streaming on Hotstar. After working for 2 years in this serial, Bhatia had to leave Mumbai to take care of his mother’s health issues. He moved back to Delhi to ensure her well-being even when he was at the peak of his career. He took a break from the industry and rejected all the roles offered to him, to be there for his family when they needed him the most.
Hardships and difficulties were Raghu’s constant companions, but no matter what struggles he came across, he kept on going with the will and strength to overcome it all. He launched his own production house ‘Neel Rishi Films Private Limited’ and the first movie under his banner was ‘Jaane Kyun De Yaaron’. He got Akshay Anand on board to direct this movie. This movie starred many talented actors like veteran actor Kabir Bedi, Viju Khote, Chetna Pandey, and Raghu Bhatia himself. Someone even took advantage of him due to which there were various difficulties with the release of the movie and the digital rights had to be ultimately sold to Amazon Prime, but that didn’t stop him from striving hard to make his mark in the music world as well. He lent his voice to the various songs of the film along with Arijit Singh and Mamta Sharma and even composed some of them. In 2020, Raghu signed up for a music video “Tu Hi To Tha” which was released in March 2021 on the same day that his father passed away due to Covid-19.
The struggle is an unavoidable part of one’s life. Nothing ever comes easy, especially when one is trying to build his dreams. Raghu didn’t achieve his success overnight. It has been the product of his many years’ hard work and perseverance. He is the biggest example of a person who has succeeded at every challenge that life has thrown his way. Raghu Bhatia kept pushing forward, until he turned something seemingly impossible, into reality.
