Khloe Kardashian gave birth to her kid through surrogacy in the first episode of The Kardashians' second season, which debuted on Hulu on September 22. The baby boy was actually born on July 28 instead of August as had been originally reported, which was made known at the premiere. Who Khloe went to the hospital with was also shown in the episode.

Due to COVI-19 rules, Kim Kardashian was the only member of the family present when the baby was born, according to Just Jared. Regarding Thompson, whose paternity controversy was discussed in the season one finale, the NBA player wasn't there at the hospital for the birth but was spotted there afterwards.

Khloe was open and honest about what having a new baby meant to her on the episode, saying, "Ever since December, it's been this dark cloud looming over me. Every single day, I've been feeling depressed and sad, now that my son is here, I get to move on. I get to move on and I get to enjoy. It’s almost like I get to close that chapter and be done with this trauma."

According to People, Khloe was previously in the episode seen trying to safeguard the information about her surrogate's pregnancy while dealing with the effects of Thompson's adultery. Khloe said in regards to keeping the baby news quiet, "I want to keep this private for my loved ones as long as possible. I can't hear about this for months, about what an idiot I am, what a dumb f--- I am… I can't even begin to think about that."
