Congress leader and Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor on Sunday (April 30) reacted to the movie 'The Kerala Story' via Twitter. He has also condemned the film while sharing the poster. Shashi Tharoor tweeted, "This could be 'your' Kerala story. This is not 'our' Kerala story."

What's in the movie? : The movie is going to be released in theaters on May 5. Sudipto Sen has written the story of this movie and directed it. The movie is based on the events behind the disappearance of 32,000 women in Kerala. In which it has been claimed that the missing women were also converted, radicalised, and engaged in terrorist activities in India and the world.

CM Pinarayi Vijayan's sharp criticism: There has been an uproar over the film. Hitting out at the makers of 'The Kerala Story', Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday (April 30) said that they are trying to project the state as the epicenter of religious extremism by raising the issue of 'love jihad' through the movie. Engaged in propagating the agenda of the family. Vijayan has said that the topic like 'Love Jihad' has been rejected by the courts, investigative agencies and even the Union Home Ministry.

He said that the 'trailer' of the Hindi movie prima facie appears to have been 'deliberately produced' with the alleged objective of creating communal polarization and spreading hatred against the state. Vijayan has said in a statement that such propaganda movies and the alienation of Muslims shown in them should be seen in the context of the Sangh Parivar's efforts to gain political mileage in Kerala. He also accused the Sangh Parivar of trying to destroy religious harmony in the state by "sowing the poisonous seed of communalism".
