Renowned Padma Vibhushan and sitar player Pandit Shivkumar Sharma will be cremated today at Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai. He died on Tuesday at the age of 83. The body of Pandit Shivkumar Sharma will be kept in Juhu area for last darshan from 10 am to 1 pm. The funeral will take place with state honors at 2.30 pm. Please tell that Pandit Shivkumar Sharma died of a heart attack on Wednesday. He was one of the well-known classical musicians of India, who also composed music for films. Pandit Shivkumar Sharma received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1986. He was awarded Padma Shri in 1991, Padma Vibhushan in 2001.
 
The same Pandit Shivkumar Sharma was active till his last time. He was to attend a function in Bhopal next week. However, he was battling kidney problems. According to the agency, family sources said that he suffered a heart attack on Tuesday morning. Pandit Shivkumar Sharma breathed his last at his residence in Pali Hills.

Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray expressed grief over the death of Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. It was reported from his office that the last rites of Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma would be performed with full state honors on Wednesday. Prime Minister Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind condoled the death of Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma.
