Dehradun: It has been only 4 days since Kedarnath Yatra started but due to this 4 pilgrims have lost their lives so far. While one woman lost her life due to deteriorating health on the road, two women lost their lives due to deteriorating health in Kedarnath Dham. Apart from this, a pilgrim died after falling into a deep gorge at Sonprayag.

Thousands of pilgrims are reaching Kedarnath Dham every day, but after getting health news on the way, the pilgrims are dying due to lack of timely treatment. Soni Chhaya Ben, a resident of Gujarat, came on a journey at the age of 47. Due to deteriorating health on the way, she returned to Sonprayag with her family members. From here he was brought to the District Hospital Rudraprayag where he lost his life due to treatment. Apart from this, 67-year-old Urmila Garg, a resident of Bulandshahr, also died due to deteriorating health.

At the same time, another woman living in Madhya Pradesh also lost her life due to deteriorating health. After performing Panchnama of both the dead bodies, the police sent them to Guptkashi by helicopter. After the post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to the family members. On the other hand, Praveen Saini, a resident of Gurugram, who went on Kedarnath Yatra, fell into a gorge about 150 meters deep due to slipping of his feet near Gaurikund, where he lost his life on the spot. On the other hand, regarding the death of pilgrims, Dr Pradeep Bhardwaj said that it is very cold in Kedarnath Dham and many pilgrims are reaching here without any knowledge. Most patients of hypothermia are coming to the health center in Dham.
