The football match played between Liverpool and Everton became the most-watched English Premier League (EPL) match on television in Britain. Over 5 million people watched the goalless draw match on various channels of the league's broadcaster Sky. After being suspended for almost three months due to the coronavirus epidemic, the league is being played again in the stadium without an audience.

According to media reports, Sky, owned by Comcast, said that 55 lakh people were watching the match on television at one time. In order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the government has asked Sky to broadcast some matches on the free platform so that people do not crowd others' homes or pubs.

Sky broadcast the match on the Free to Air Entertainment Channel, on which 19 lakh people enjoyed the match. Earlier this record was the name of the match played between Manchester United and Manchester City in 2012 which was seen on television by about 44 lakh people.
