Islamabad: Now the Pakistani Supreme Court has also entered into the case of the deadly attack on former PM Imran Khan. The top court has directed Punjab Police Chief Faisal Shahkar to register a case in the matter within 24 hours. The Supreme Court wondered why the case had not been registered yet. If so, the top court will take suo motu cognizance of the matter. Let us inform you that on November 3, Imran Khan was shot in the leg in a deadly attack during the march of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party (PTI). One person lost his life and 11 people were injured in this incident.

In fact, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandiyal has warned to take suo motu cognizance if FIR is not registered in the deadly attack on Imran Khan. According to media reports, CJP also asked Punjab Inspector General (IG) Faisal Shahkar why FIR was not registered in the matter. The Chief Justice of Pakistan asked, 'Tell us when will the FIR be registered? There should be a solid reason for not registering the FIR.' The CJP directed the IG to call the officers to investigate the matter and said, 'As per the law, work has to be done, the court is with you.'

Let us tell you that IG Shahkar, who has decided to break away from the Punjab government and has refused to work with the current political system under the leadership of CM Pervez Elahi, informed the court that "we have filed an FIR regarding I have spoken to the Punjab CM but he has expressed some objections.''
