Bharatpur: A video of the mayor of Bharatpur, Rajasthan is going viral on social media these days. In this video, Mayor Abhijit Kumar is seen taking the oath of Gangajal in cleaning the charges against him. Actually, there was a meeting of Bharatpur Municipal Corporation on Saturday regarding the budget for the year 2022-23. Meanwhile, due to the passing of the budget, there was a heated argument between the councillors and the Mayor of the Municipal Corporation, Abhijit Kumar.

In the midst of this commotion, a councillor accused Mayor Abhijeet Kumar. The mayor was very upset with this. "You have said that to become mayor, I bought votes by giving a note. The mayor said in the middle of the House, "I take Gangajal in my hand and take the oath that I have never said such a thing to anyone.'' Due to this, he also had a bottle of water in his hand.

Not only this, Dr Subhash Garg, MLA from Bharatpur city, who is a state minister in the Congress government, was also accused by the councillors. The councillors said that the minister's rule over the municipal corporation is what the minister speaks, the same thing happens. Apart from discussing the budget that was passed for the development of the city, personal allegations and accusations also came to the fore between the councillor and the mayor, due to which the mayor had to stand in the House and swear by taking Gangajal. The House met till late on Saturday evening to pass the budget.
