Ahmednagar: Shirdi's Sai temple, which is famous among the richest temples in the country, is again in the news. Devotees donate crores of rupees here when their wishes are fulfilled. But this time the offering has become a headache for the trust. Actually, Sai Mandir Trust and Bank are troubled by coins weighing thousands of kilos.

The bank administration told that now customers do not take coins. Now there is nowhere to keep them. It is being said that neither the bank nor the trust has the space to keep coins worth Rs 3.5 to 4 crore. The acting CEO of Saibaba Temple Trust, Shirdi Rahul Jadhav, says that devotees donate from one rupee to crores of rupees to the Sai temple. Cash is counted twice a week, and coins are deposited in different banks. But banks are hesitating to deposit coins weighing thousands of kilogrammes. For the past several years, the amount received in the offering has been deposited in 13 different nationalised banks. Now the banks have no place left to keep the coins.

On the same matter, CEO Rahul Jadhav said that the committee has decided that accounts will be opened in other banks in the district. Doing this will give some relief. We have also requested that the RBI solve the problem of coins. It is being said that only trust and the bank are troubled by the coins. Rather, the traders working under the bank building are also scared. They feel that the building might collapse due to the weight of the coins. These coins need to be removed from here as soon as possible. It is being said that due to online payment, the circulation of coins has decreased.
