Guwahati: Panic prevails across the country over the possible third wave of corona infection. In the same vein, the Government of Assam informed that those who have administered both doses of corona vaccine will have to undergo an essential corona test at airports and railway stations after arrival. The state government said that passengers coming from other states who have taken both doses of vaccine will also have to undergo corona test procedure.

Assam Government has taken this decision in view of the possible third wave of corona. In Assam, 1,992 new cases of corona virus were reported on Thursday. As a result, 2498 patients were discharged and 27 patients died. So far 5,17,041 persons have recovered from corona in the state. While 4,937 persons have died. The active cases of corona in Assam are currently 19,120.
According to data released by the Health Ministry, 38,949 new cases have been reported from across the country in the last 24 hours. The total number of infected cases has increased to 3,10,26,829 after the new corona cases have come up. As a result, the total number of deaths has gone up to 4,12,531 after 542 new deaths. In the last 24 hours, 40,026 patients have been discharged, after which the total number of discharged patients has gone up to 3,01,83,876. There are currently 4,30,422 active cases in the country. In the last 24 hours, 38,78,078 corona infection vaccines have been administered across the country.
