The government has no objection to the use of Internet media, the question is the misuse of these platforms. The government is the voice of the victims of misuse of internet media and wants to have a mechanism for redressal of complaints on these platforms in the country. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said this at an event on Thursday. Prasad said, "You should have a mechanism for grievance redressal so that anyone can register their complaint there."
Continuing his point, he said that the government is not against condemnation. The Union Minister said, 'PM Narendra Modi has been the victim of false allegations and campaign for more than 20 years. We welcome the condemnation and this condemnation can be done by the PM, all ministers, and the entire government.' The government has recently issued guidelines for internet media, over-the-top (OTT) platforms, and digital news media.
It is not right to comment on someone's dress: Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that one should not be blasphemous about one's dress. Prasad said this when asked about the controversy arising out of Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat's remarks about wearing torn jeans. The Union Minister has said that the CM has already apologized. The issue should not be overstated. The issue should not be over-thrown. Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani, who is participating in the same program, said that politicians should not comment on anyone's dress. Their job is to formulate policies and ensure laws and orders.
